How you can join the Quire
If you enjoy singing and keeping traditional tunes alive, Folk South West and Stanchester Quire would welcome you to join them. There are no auditions to join the Quire.We learn our music by ear and with the help of Quire members who can sight read.
Normally there are four parts in the Quire i.e. Tunes Altos Tenors & Bass
We are free to choose whichever part appeals to us possibly changing parts for different songs. So if you enjoy singing and good company just come to All Saints Primary School in Montacute at 7.45 pm normally on Tuesday during term time. You will be made very welcome. In 2008 practice sessions will commence on Feb 5th. You don’t need to be able to read music.
